The Bumblebee™s unique construction makes it virtually indestructible. This Ped Push Button is completely self powered, maintenance free, and constructed of highly durable, corrosion proof materials that are chip and crack resistant even under heavy impact. This product is made out of Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene (UHMWPE) which is routinely used for surgical joint replacements because it's practically indestructible. Other significant benefits include:- Hermetically sealed: meaning its sealed practically air tight and moisture absorption is extremely low
- Impact strength is higher than any thermoplastic
- Resistance to corrosive chemicals is exceptional - SUPER GLUE
- Coefficient of friction is very low
- Self-lubricating nature
- Resistance to abrasion is 15 times stronger than that of carbon steel

 The switch is also non contact based. It won't stick. The magnetic reed switch ensures long life and is triple seated (no contact with pushbutton) for complete environmental protection.
